Abstracts from Oral Presentations at the Society for Acute Medicine Autumn Conference

As usual a large number of abstract submissions were received for the autumn meeting of the Society for Acute Medicine, which was held this year in the Birmingham International Centre on 11th-12th September. A large number of these were displayed as posters throughout the meeting, and twelve were selected for oral presentation. The abstracts from the oral presentation session are published here.

As usual a large number of abstracts were submitted for consideration of inclusion in the spring meeting of the Society for Acute Medicine, which was held in the Mercure Holland House hotel, in Cardiff, and hosted by Dr Nerys Conway. Over 100 abstracts were selected for display as posters, and seven of these were presented orally. Selected Abstracts from the Society for Acute Medicine and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh Autumn International Meeting 2016

Research Audit and Clinical Practice, Volume 15, Issue 4, Pages 165 – 220 (2016)

The Autumn meeting of the Society for Acute Medicine in 2016 was co-hosted with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and was held in the prestigious surroundings of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. As usual a large number of abstracts were received and over 150 of these were selected for display as posters following peer review. Those ranked most highly were also presented orally, and the abstracts of these are published here. We have also published the abstracts of the posters which were awarded ‘highly commended’ rosettes during the meeting.

29th -30th September 2011, Imperial College London

Delegates at the 5th International meeting of the Society for Acute Medicine enjoyed some unseasonal autumn sunshine at Imperial College London at the end of September. The number of submitted abstracts for this meeting was considerable and this year many were of exceptionally high standard. As well as a poster display of over 100, the reviewing panel selected six for oral presentation on the Friday morning. The abstracts from these presentations are published below.
